Still a working monastery, St. Catherine’s has defensive walls that house chapels, a library museum, and what is claimed to be a descendant of the burning bush mentioned in the Bible.

This trip enables you to discover the history of the oldest monastery in Egypt and enjoy the beautiful colored canyon landscape.

Pick up from hotel is in the early morning consists of a journey of about two and a half hours.  Visit this still active monastery situated at the foot of Mount Sinai and home to the same order of monks who constructed it in the 4th Century. The biblical legend, the Burning Bush, is situated within the confines of the monastery.

We then continue our drive into the desert where we enjoy the sight of the colored canyons for approximately 2 hours of hiking. The extraordinary colors and shapes of the canyon rock formations are breathtaking.  Dahab for lunch and a spot of shopping follow our hike. The meal is included, drinks are not included.
