Description
You are going to Moses’ Mountain and will hike to the top of Mount Sinai to see the sunrise with our Bedouin guide (the climb takes approximately 2 – 3 hours). Then a visit to St. Catherine’s Monastery.
Situated at the base of the mountain where Moses received the ten commandments, St Catherine’s Monastery is one of the most famous in the world. Constructed between 527 and 565 B.C, it is believed to be built around the site of Moses’ Burning Bush. The Monastery is named after St Catherine who was tortured and beheaded for her Christian beliefs. During your visit you will visit the chapel of the Greek Orthodox Church, view icons of worship and the famous Mosaic of Transfiguration.
Enjoy breakfast at a nearby hotel before the return transfer to your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
